If you are looking for a fast and comfortable dental treatment alternative to traditional braces, then Invisalign may be right for you. Our dental office is a proud provider of Invisalign in Spotsylvania, VA, and we can help you achieve beautiful, straighter teeth without the discomfort associated with traditional orthodontic treatment.
Invisalign is a popular orthodontic treatment option that uses a series of custom-made, clear aligners to straighten your teeth. These removable aligner trays move your teeth into place by gradually shifting them until they are perfectly aligned. Invisalign clear aligner therapy is an excellent option if you want straight teeth but don’t want the look of traditional metal braces.
Invisalign aligners can treat mild to moderate cases of alignment issues, including:
The first step in getting Invisalign is scheduling an initial consultation with Dr. Clark at our office. During this visit, we will discuss your goals and concerns, as well as any questions you might have regarding the process.
We will also examine your mouth and jaws to determine whether Invisalign is right for you. If so, we will make a digital impression of your lower and upper teeth using 3D imaging technology. We will then send these impressions off to our lab where they will be used to create your customized invisible aligners.
Once your aligners are ready, you’ll come back to our office for a second appointment to try them on. You’ll wear the aligners for about 20-22 hours per day for a week or two, after which you’ll switch to a new set of aligners. You’ll come back to our office periodically so we can check your progress and make adjustments as needed.
Once your Invisalign aligner treatment is complete, you will need to wear a retainer to ensure proper healing and retention of your new beautiful smile.
Invisalign clear aligners are the preferred choice for many teens and adults because they are convenient, discreet, and effective.
Virtually Invisible
Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible when worn. They're made from a clear plastic material designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.
Quick Treatment Time
In most cases, this orthodontic treatment can be completed in 12-18 months. For mild issues, some people can even see results in as little as 6 months. Of course, each individual case will be different, but in general, treatment time is quicker than with metal braces.
No Irritation to Teeth and Gums
Metal parts of a brace can cause irritation and discomfort. With Invisalign, there are no metal wires, brackets, or bands to irritate your lips or gums.
Comfortable
Traditional braces require tight wire ligatures that can be uncomfortable, especially when they are adjusted. Invisalign aligners use a clear plastic material that gradually shifts the position of your crowded teeth over time, causing less discomfort.
